Madness! Chaos!

What am I talking about? An event akin to having your skin peeled off and having decorative slices of lemon dipped in salt applied in a pretty pattern all over yourself and then being wrapped in plastic wrap.

Yes, friends...I packed up my house and moved back to Memphis.

Several of my native West Memphis coworkers have expressed surprise that I would chose to move away from lovely, quaint West Memphis and its numerous attractions.

The company where I am employed, Crittenden Publishing, is directly across the street from a bible bookstore, a florist and a funeral home. Services at the funeral home, the nicest one in West Memphis, happen with the same regularity as one would expect with death and mostly these services happen with proper sombre decorum. Except for yesterday. Yesterday was an entertainment explosion of WWE style West Memphis "you shot my dog", square-headed redneck brawl on the front lawn of the funeral home. My coworkers stood outside and watched.

Even before this I was aware I either needed to move or begin filming a documentary. Besides, I missed my family in Memphis, and though I was only across the bridge I might have well been on another planet.

It's good to be home.
